Ever So Slightly Lost (Loviise and Damian)

[Loviise Kova]

Loviise wasn't used to being around the wizarding places of England, having come from her home country of Estonia only a few weeks beforehand, she had walked around the main street for a bit getting the feel for the place before she was jostled down one of the side alleys leading off it. Not quite sure where she was going Loviise decided that she might as well follow the path that she had found herself on which led her deeper and deeper into the new street. The shops here were different, darker, and Loviise felt more on edge but it was also more interesting here, more dangerous...

"Vat is zis place?"

She murmured, her accent coming across strongly.

Damian stood against the wall of one of the stores. He sighed deeply while he observed the setting around him. Not only was he bored, he was mega bored which in his books was the most bored anyone can be. He slammed his foot slightly against the wall behind him and crossed his arms. His annoying parents were in the store behind him and apparently he couldn't go in because of his age. He was scowling slightly before he saw a girl. He rose a brow while he watched her. It was clear that she did not belong down here. Feeling unusually friendly, he walked over to her to see if she was lost.
"Hey" he said when he reached her, nodding stiffly in greeting. "You look lost" he observed, waiting to find out what she said.

Loviise turned when she heard someone speaking to her and she tilted her head to one side as she took the measure of him in, he seemed nice enough so she walked over to him and stopped a few feet away rubbing her arms nervously, biting her lip as she did so. She was quite shy but mostly because she was not used to speaking to people her own age but she hoped this was something she could change.

"Hello."

Loviise nodded back and smiled a shy smile for a few moments before letting her hair cover her face again.

"I am a little lost yes, I am afraid I do not know zis area zo vell..."

Damian listened to her and let out a low chuckle. "This is hardly one of the areas you would like to wonder around in" he smirked. Just as he thought, she was lost and had no idea about the bad reputation this area had. "Unless of course your looking for something out of the ordenery" he said and straightened up. He glanced at the store behind him before inwardly shaking the feeling off.

Loviise smiled, she knew that this area wasn't exactly the greatest and she got the impression that it was very dangerous but she supposed she liked a bit of danger now and again so that she didn't get too bored with life, after all, being here on her own, in this country practically alone Loviise needed a distraction.

"I think it's a pretty intervesting area, I vould like to come back here vone day..."

Wringing her hands together she glanced up from under her fringe.

"Vhy are you here zen?"

He couldn't help a small smile. She must have been brave, he would give her that yet not too smart if she was interested so easily. He thought for a moment about her question. "Just waiting for my parents really" he said and nodded slightly to the store behind him. He looked at her again before coming to a conclusion. "You must be shopping for your first year at school, right?" he wondered.

Loviise smiled as she saw that the boy was smiling too, she moved so that she was leaning against the same wall as him, just under a dingy street light that was still on and flickering in the darkness of the alley, biting her lip she rested her head against the cool stone.

"Ah I see..."

Was all she said in response to his parents, she herself had difficulties with her parents and so normally avoided speaking about them.

"I was really coming to have a look around today but zis is proving a most wonderful distraction. Vill you be starting Hogwarts too zis year?"

Damian wondered what she meant about distractions but didn't want to push it any further. After all, it wasn't any of his business.

"Yes, I am actually getting my things for Hogwarts today" he nodded. He looked around and saw that the alley was becoming a little more crowded.

"I am hoping for Slytherin, what about you?" he asked.

Lovisse smiled a little but the fact that the alley was getting a lot busier was not comforting to her, she didn't like crowded places and tried to avoid them at all costs, moving closer to the wall she tried to flatten herself against it.

"I do not really know vhere it is best to go for zese zings so I'm just vandering around until I fiind zee right place."

She shrugged.

"I do not much care as long as it is not Hufflepuff..."

"Nothing for looking for is down here" he said while he kept an eye on the passing crowds. "Everything will be in Diagon Alley" he explained and looked at her when she mentioned the houses.
"I dont think you would be a Hufflepuff" he said with a thoughtful expression.

Loviise smiled at Damian she knew that everything she was looking for was down Diagon Alley and she had only gotten sidetracked by the side entrance.

"I know zat but I just got sidetracked by vat vas down here..."

Her smile grew wider and she blushed tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.

"I hope not...I guess I vish to to be a Ravenclaw."

Damian nodded along as he listened. "From what I heard about Ravenclaws, they arent much fun, always focused on books and studies" he said.
